They say actions can speak louder than words, but sometimes words can sting longer than actions. In my journal, I penned hurled words (insults/labels) over the decades. And to put them to rest, found a word—from God’s Word—to speak over them.

They said: “you’ll never”
God Says: “with me, all things are possible”

They said: “unpopular”
God Says: “if God is for us, who can be against us” Romans 8:31

They said: “failure”
God Says: “you have already won a victory”

They said: “fake”
God Says: “I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but God” Galatians 1:10

They said: “fragile”
God Says: “some parts of the body that seem weakest and least important are actually the most necessary”

They said: “crazy”
God Says: “if it seems we are crazy, it is to bring glory to God” 2 Corinthians 5:13
